Little Sweetie

TJ is such a little sweetheart.  He's always been very cuddly and loving, and now he's expressing his love and care in so many ways.
He loves giving kisses and hugs.  This morning, he saw Mommy & Daddy hugging... he said, "Hugs" and got in on the snuggling action. :)  TJ also likes to kiss his puppy, Elmo, Dinger and King Kong.  He makes them kiss each other... he even puts Thomas & Percy face-to-face and says, "Kissing."  Of course, it's the most adorable thing ever!

And tonight.... he told Mommy, "Love you."  Daddy & TJ call Mommy from the car every night on their way home from school.  Tonight, I said, "Love you, TJ" and he replied, "Love you."  Made my heart melt!  I wanted to leave the craziness of the newsroom and be with him right then and there.

Last Friday, we went to the Rockies-Dodgers game with one of Frankie's co-workers.  Frankie said if TJ knew anything about baseball... he'd think only the Rockies and Dodgers played each other.  (He's been to a few other games with other teams... but not many.)  There is a special chant for Tulo, and TJ has it it down.  He's been doing it for a while, but he was really on his game Friday night clapping and yelling, "Tulo!"  Of course, this too, is the most adorable thing ever! :)

TJ's favorite things about baseball: Dinger, Tulo and Cracker Jack!

Tiny Dancer

Last weekend, Mommy & Daddy both had to work, so he had a fun weekend with Ga, Pa & Aunt G.  Needless to say, he had a blast!  He loved playing with G... especially since she bought him a ride-on ATV.  He loves taking it on the driveway and speeding down it.  Mommy & Ga don't love that part as much!

After spending the weekend at Ga & Pa's, we met up in Colorado Springs so we could celebrate Mommy's friend, Ali's wedding.  It was TJ's first wedding... and let's just say, he loves weddings!  His favorite -- the dancing, of course!  He kicked his shoes and socks off and went to town!  He did the moonwalk to Billie Jean, the twist and he even had some ladies circle up around him.  Yes, that boy is a ham!  Ali was an absolutely stunning bride, and we were so excited we a part of Ali & Lee's special day!

He was attracting all the ladies at the wedding... and well, that's pretty much the story of his life. :)  I thought I'd share what TJ's teachers wrote about him in this month's newsletter.  We think they are spot on with our little man!

"And what can we say about TJ, besides he’s a heart breaker. He’s definitely the little Lothario in our class, he tilts his head and bats those beautiful eye lashes and we’re all goners! Especially Halin, she loves him so much, she won’t eat lunch till he’s sitting by her side."

California Visit

This past weekend, we spent the weekend in Southern California.  Uncle Justin was getting married, and this time, TJ came along for the trip.  We had a great weekend packed with visiting family and friends.

On Thursday, we were able to meet TJ's newest cousin, baby Rory, and play with his cousins Mary & Joseph.  They played in the pool... and all over the yard.  TJ loved driving the fire truck and the pink car.  (Of course.)  TJ also got to spend time with Auntie Gloria and Auntie Janet.

Friday, it was an all-day adventure at Knott's Berry Farm.  We arrived early to meet TJ's SoCal friends, Amelia, River and Sammy.  Then, Nana, Bill, Mary and Joseph showed up to ride a few rides.  TJ loves rides, and he had a great time all afternoon.  He enjoyed watching the Snoopy show and when it was time to take pictures afterwards... he ran up and gave Snoopy a giant hug!  It was soooo adorable!

Mommy & Daddy even had a chance to ride some big rides with Rocky & Alexis.  Although, if Mommy knew what she was getting on... she probably wouldn't have ever gotten in line!  Mommy has a tradition of getting TJ one thing the first time we visit somewhere (the zoo, museum, Santa's Workshop... etc.), so Knott's was no different.  TJ gets to pick his souvenir out.  He happened to go into an old western shop and spotted some of those weird looking figurine cats with fur and glass eyes (they really creep me out).  Anyways, TJ picked one up, started petting it, hugged and said, "Bo. Mine."  So, that's what he got... there's nothing like a creepy, furry cat to say Knott's Berry Farm! :)

After a quick rest and cool-off in the car, we went and dinner with Rodie, Aunt Debbie, Uncle Kevin, and TJ's cousins Chloe and Izzie.  TJ rallied at dinner, so we all went back into Knott's for some more rides... and more fun!  It was so great to share that time with Izzie and Chloe!

Saturday was Uncle Justin's big day!  TJ stayed with Nana & Bill, and it was nice for them to get to know each other.  It was a great wedding, and Mommy & Daddy had an awesome night celebrating the happy couple... and of course, spending time dancing and laughing with our wonderful friends!

Sunday was our wind-down day, but we did manage to visit Auntie Linda and spend some more time with Rory, Mary, Aunt Tara & Uncle Joey.

Then, it was back on the plane dark and early.  Once again, TJ was a champ on the plane.  He loved saying, "Airplane!  Shoom!"  He fell asleep about 20 minutes after takeoff and didn't wake up until we landed.  I think Mommy & Daddy were the only parents on the flight full of kids who got to sleep.

We had a great visit, but everyone was glad to be home.  TJ was especially excited to see Jackson and Bo, and he loved sleeping in his bed last night!
