Busy Boy

TJ has been a very busy boy since the last post... he's been a lot of places and has found himself getting into "trouble" as he gets more mobile. Mommy & Daddy need to start babyproofing the house. And... turning our backs on the little mischief-maker? Unthinkable! A few weekends ago, we helped Mommy's friend and coworker, Kami, celebrate her twins Sam & Lucy. TJ was busy putting the moves on Maddie. She's a few months older, and she was not interested in TJ. He couldn't figure out why! :) TJ is in a phase where he wants EVERYONE to look at him. I have a feeling this "phase" is going to last forever. We were at the car dealership, waiting for the oil to be changed, and TJ took center stage. He made eyes at every woman in the room, and he would look at me with a puzzled look on his face when someone wouldn't smile back. He was quite entertaining for everyone. Grandma Reno & Mommy took TJ to his first trip to the zoo last week! He was a rockstar. He enjoyed watching the giraffes, elephants and the rhino. TJ also rode the carousel with Mommy. This is my favorite ride, and TJ loved it. His little tummy would get tickled and he'd just smile away! It was an awesome moment! :) By the end of the morning, TJ was tuckered out! Last weekend, Daddy went away for a boys' weekend, so TJ and Mommy headed to Grandpa & Grandma Reno's house. TJ LOVED hanging out with his grandparents and Auntie Angie. While we were there... we drove down to Salida so TJ could meet one of Mommy's oldest friends. Poppy & I have been friends since kindergarten, and it was a special moment to have all of our kiddos together.TJ also met some of Grandma's friends. Of course, he was adorable... and entertaining! :) TJ continues to add to his "babble vocabulary." And he's developed a new fondness to grunting, which is hilarious, but scary. Today, while we were driving, it sounded like he was choking... not grunting. When I pulled over and checked on him... he flashed the biggest smile. What a ham! TJ has also has a love for peek-a-boo. Although, he doesn't like it when Mommy does it. A few weeks ago, TJ took the blankie out of my hands and started doing it himself. Now... it always has to be him! Here's a fun video of it!
