Gone Fishin'... (Kind of)

This week, Ga and Pa came up to the RV and Travel Show, so Daddy, Mommy and TJ went along for the ride. It ended up being such a fun day, and TJ had a blast. He loved checking out the RVs, and he especially loved the trout pond for the kiddos. TJ and Pa caught a fish. After getting his picture taken with it, TJ then made the sign for "food." It was hilarious... he was so ready to fry up his fish and eat his catch! The place had lots to do for kids... including duck races. It was so funny watching the ducks race each other. Then, we got to feed them. While TJ was watching the ducks shake off the water, he pointed at one and yelled, "duck!"

That's not the first time TJ's surprised us with a word we didn't know he knew. Last week, we were at the grocery store walking by the milk. On the glass doors were decals of cows. TJ pointed to one of the decals and said, "cow." Just like that... like it was no big deal.

TJ's now putting two signs together. He'll sign, more food and food please. Of course, it always has to do with food! He's also picking out colors in one of his books. He points correctly to blue and red when you ask him to. He's also picked up scolding Jackson. Whenever Jackson comes over to TJ while he's eating, TJ raises his hand, puts his pointer finger up and waves it back and forth, like "no, no, no." We even asked him this morning, TJ, "What do you tell Jackson?" And he shook his finger, "no, no, no." It's so funny.

This week TJ also got to hang out with Uncle Marshall. He loved checking out his new digs... and he liked "body slamming" on Kosher's giant dog bed. TJ and Uncle Marshall also played frisbee... but mostly TJ played peek-a-boo with the frisbee.

The boy still loves to eat, and he's trying to get the hang of using a fork and spoon. He's a lot messier, and after a while, he goes back to using his fingers... but he's getting used to it. This is a picture of what happens when TJ puts his lasagna in his hair!

TJ had his third haircut today, and unlike the first two, this time he freaked out a bit. We were trying to make it at least two months before needing a new haircut, but no luck. We only made it six weeks, and we couldn't believe how much hair fell on the floor! This kid has some thick locks.

This boy makes us laugh all day! He's gotten the hang of riding his "man bug," and now that's all he wants to do. Here's a little video of it.
